2012 NFL Mock Draft, New York Jets: Six-Round Simulation, And No Mark Barron

It is difficult enough to be accurate when compiling a one- or two-round mock draft. Well, the folks at Draft Tek are already going well beyond that, posting weekly six-round simulations. Draft Tek uses its own Big Board and a computer analysis of team needs to come up with its computerized simulation.

Here are Draft Tek’s choices for the New York Jets in its latest simulation, released Thursday.

Round 1 (16th overall) – Melvin Ingram, OLB, South Carolina
Round 2 (47th) - LaMichael James (RB, Oregon)
Round 3 (78th) – Mitchell Schwartz (OT, California)
Round 4 (108th) – Brandon Tyler (SS, LSU)
Round 5 (146th) - Kirk Cousins (QB, Michigan State)
Round 6 (177th) – D’Anton Lynn (FS, Penn State)

Your thoughts, Jets fans? Everyone else in the world seems to have the Jets taking Alabama strong safety Mark Barron in the first round. Draft Tek’s sim bypasses Barron, however, in favor of the linebacker.
