The Wednesday Video: Broadway Joe Theme Song

Stay connected for news and updates

The New York Jets' season is underway, so what better way to celebrate than with a song? And who is the song about? None other than the greatest Jet of all time (or at least one of the greatest), Joe Namath. Yes, Broadway Joe was so popular back in the late-1960s and early-'70s that he had a song written about him. He was all over TV back then as well, staring in commercials and appearing on shows such as The Flip Wilson Show, Laugh-In, Here's Lucy and, of course, The Brady Bunch, not to mention starring in a handful of movies and his own 1969 talk show. Here's a "groovy" Broadway Joe theme song, sung by the Super Chicks, which helped to cement his cultural icon-ness. And, yes, it swings, baby.
