LaDainian Tomlinson Injury Update: Running Back Returns With Bruised Left Knee

Stay connected for news and updates

New York Jets running back LaDainian Tomlinson has returned to the Week 13 match up against the Washington Redskins after leaving the game early in the first quarter with a left knee injury.  At the time, Tomlinson, who missed the last two Jets games because of a strained knee, was questionable for a return. However, Tomlinson saw some action in the second quarter, which ended with New York trailing Washington, 13-10.

So far, Jets' running back Shonn Greene has a team-best 32-rushing yards on 13 carries. Tomlinson has yet to carry the ball in the game, which is expected as he is being used mostly on third-down situations.

Overall, the Jets have just 31-rushing yards on 16 attempts. Backup tailback Joe McKnight and fullback John Conner each have one carry in the game, while Mark Sanchez was sacked for a one-yard loss.
