Good morning, New York sports fans! Depending on which local football team you root for, you are either feeling like you were hit by an 18-wheeler this morning or you are feeling unexpected euphoria.↵
- The New York Giants did what seemed impossible Sunday afternoon. They suffered a historic meltdown, blowing a 21-point lead in the final eight minutes to lose to the Philadelphia Eagles Sunday, blowing any real shot they had at the NFC East title. DeSean Jackson's 65-yard punt return for a game-winning score was probably the perfect ending, since it had never happened before in NFL history. See Big Blue View for reaction.
- The New York Jets also did what seemed impossible Sunday, going to Pittsburgh and getting a victory. Why impossible? Because it is something the Jets had never done before in franchise history. See Gang Green Nation for the reaction. ↵
When it comes to the local sports scene, those two games are probably all that are worth mentioning this morning. They are all anyone will be discussing around the water cooler today, anyway.
