Ellis Lankster was knocked out of New York's game against the Chargers with a concussion.

The New York Jets were banged up against the San Diego Chargers, with Greg McElroy getting sacked 11 times and the Chargers rolling over them to the tune of a 27-17 win. They only suffered one big injury during the big loss though, losing defensive back Ellis Lankster to a head injury.

Lankster was knocked out of the game in the second half of the game with what was reported as a concussion, and did not return to the game. His status has not been made available for New York's final game of the season against Buffalo.

Other than Lankster, the Jets remained fairly stable on the injury front. Tim Tebow's ego also got hit with a knock after it was announced he was being sidestepped in favor of McElroy for the starting quarterback job, but that's another story entirely.

New York will close out their season against the Buffalo Bills on Sunday.
