New York Jets wide receiver Stephen Hill was placed on injured reserve with a knee injury on Wednesday, while tight end Dustin Keller did not practice.
New York Jets wide receiver Stephen Hill was placed on injured reserve on Wednesday with a sprained LCL. Hill suffered his injury against the Jacksonville Jaguars on Dec. 9 and has not practiced since. Hill had 21 receptions for 252 yards and three touchdowns in 11 games during his rookie season.
New York Jets tight end Dustin Keller also missed practice again on Wednesday. Keller has missed the Jets' last two games with an ankle injury, but there is a hope he can return for Sunday's game against the Chargers.
Cornerback Aaron Berry did not practice either, but was riding the stationary bike after missing the game against the Titans on Monday night. Coach Rex Ryan said he was not confident that Berry would be available against the Chargers. Guard Brandon Moore was at practice, but was given the day off to rest his hip injury. Wide receiver Chaz Schilens practiced despite knee and calf injuries.
The Jets signed cornerback Donnie Fletcher to the active roster to take Hill's spot.
