A Nick Folk field goal accounted for the only points scored in the quarter.

The New York Jets' slim playoff chances are on the line in Monday night's game against the Tennessee Titans. A win by New York would keep the team one game back of the final Wild Card spot.

The Titans appeared poised to take an early lead after a 30-yard pass from Jake Locker to Nate Washington got the team in field goal range. That drive ended without points, though, as kicker Rob Bironas had a field goal attempt blocked by Muhammad Wilkerson.

On the ensuing drive, Jets kicker Nick Folk hit a 22-yard field goal to give his team a 3-0 lead. Originally the officials gave Jeff Cumberland a touchdown reception on the play before the field goal, but that call was overturned as it was deemed the ball hit the ground.

The Jets did not get the ball back for the rest of the quarter.

Titans center Kevin Matthews left the game with an undisclosed injury.
