New York Jets head coach Rex Ryan is pleased that wide receiver Braylon Edwards is back on the roster and is hopeful that he will play for the team on Monday night against the Tennessee Titans, according to tweets by J.P. Pelzman, Edwards has passed a physical:

Edwards was claimed off of waivers by the Jets on Tuesday after being released by the Seattle Seahawks last week. Prior to being released by the Seahawks, Edwards had caught eight passes for 74 yards and a touchdown. Edwards has spent two prior season with the Jets in 2009 and 2010. In those two seasons, he caught 88 pases for 1,445 yards and 11 touchdowns.

Prior to being picked up by the Jets, Edwards had made comments calling the front office of the Jets as 'idiots.' Ryan does not know why Edwards said that about the organization.

The Jets play the Titans on Monday Night Football at LP Field in Nashville, Tenn. Kickoff is scheduled for 8:20 p.m. and the game will be broadcast on ESPN.
