NFL injury report: Stephen Hill has LCL strain

Nick Laham

Jets wide receiver Stephen Hill could miss some time after suffering a LCL strain on Sunday.

New York Jets wide receiver Stephen Hill and linebacker Bryan Thomas left Sunday's game with what appeared to be serious injuries, but after further tests it appears both players suffered only minor injuries.

Hill left Sunday's game against Jacksonville with a knee injury, but avoided a serious injury which could keep him out the rest of the season. Instead, Hill suffered a strained LCL and will be evaluated later in the week. The injury is the same injury Redskins quarterback Robert Griffin III suffered on Sunday. While it may keep Hill out of this week's game and possibly further, it won't require surgery and long rehab process like a torn ACL would have.

Thomas also left Sunday's game and while it was initially feared he may have torn his pectoral, a MRI on Monday revealed only a strain. Thomas is considered day-to-day and could possibly play this week against the Tennessee Titans. Thomas has played limited snaps this season, but is third on the team with 2.5 sacks.
