The New York Jets and Seattle Seahawks are tied at 7-7 after one quarter on Sunday afternoon despite the continued struggles of Mark Sanchez and the offense. The Jets trailed early before the defense bailed the team out with a big touchdown late in the quarter.
The Jets actually got into Seattle territory on the first drive of the game, but after setting up a 3rd-and-1, the Seahawks defense mustered a pair of stops to force a turnover on downs. Wilson quickly responded after that with his pair of big passes, putting Seattle ahead midway through the quarter.
Rex Ryan's defense did come through with a big play late in the quarter, though, when a hit on Wilson jarred the ball loose and Muhammed Wilkerson returned it 21 yards for the score. That came on the next play following another Wilson sack, so the defense is starting to put pressure on the rookie QB.
