NFL odds Week 11: Jets vs. Rams

Stay connected for news and updates

Kevin Casey

The St. Louis Rams will be favorites for the first time this season when they take on the New York Jets, as oddsmakers have them favored by about a field goal. Neither team has won a game in over a month, although the Rams did tie the 49ers this past week.

You can add being an underdog to the St. Louis Rams to the list of embarrassing things to happen to the New York Jets this season.

The Rams haven't had as awful a year as they've had in the past; their three wins and one tie already makes this the second most successful season for St. Louis since 2006, when they went 8-8. But they haven't yet been favored on the year so far. They were 2.5-point underdogs against Seattle and 1.5-point underdogs to Arizona after starting the year 2-2, but haven't yet been considered favorites. And the team has only gotten worse, losing their three games before Sunday's tie against the San Francisco 49ers. But the Jets are in equally dire straits, only having scored one offensive touchdown in their past two games, and having lost their last three. As such, both teams are winless in the past month..

This week's line opened up with the Rams as 1-point favorites, but has since moved in their favor, with the Rams now favored by between 3 and 3.5 points.
