Ed Mulholland-US PRESSWIRE - Presswire

Beleaguered New York Jets' quarterback Mark Sanchez sounded tired of answering questions about the team's struggling offense following Monday night's 23-17 loss to the Houston Texans.

"We're not worried what anybody else thinks. I know we have great personnel, we really do. We have good players, guys that want to win, they want to play. When those lights come on, those guys come alive. They worked their butt off all week in practice, especially the wideouts. They've been taking a lot of heat. Everybody's telling them that they can't play, they can't do it like the other guys can. I'm just proud of the way they fought. We're in it at the end of the game. This time we came up short. That's the way these go. We've just got to hang in there and be in it in the fourth quarter like we were tonight."

Sanchez went 14-of-31 with two interceptions, the fourth straight game he has completed less than half of his passes. Sanchez (48.4 percent completions) is the only starting quarterback in the league completing less than 50 of his passes.
