NFL injury report: Jets' Shonn Greene says he's 'fine'

Jim Rogash

Jets running back Shonn Greene left Sunday's game with a head injury, but said he feels "fine" on Monday.

New York Jets running back Shonn Greene said he feels fine on Monday after missing time during Sunday's game with a head injury.

Greene, who took a hard hit from Patriots linebacker Brandon Spikes during the fourth quarter on Sunday, was forced to go through NFL concussion protocol and passed the tests, according to Connor Orr of the Star-Ledger. Greene was able to return to the game during overtime.

While Greene's status doesn't appear to be in doubt for the Jets' upcoming game against the Dolphins, the news may not be as promising for Joe McKnight and Jeff Cumberland. McKnight played through a high ankle sprain on Sunday and was on crutches on Monday.

Cumberland, New York's backup tight end, dislocated his right hand against the Patriots and is expected to be out against Miami. There's a possibility that he will be able to return for the Jets' game against Seattle following the bye week.
