Evgeni Nabokov and Al Montoya combined to stop 51 of 54 shots in the New York Islanders' impressive 5-3 win over a hot Pittsburgh Penguins squad on Tuesday night. The win was, however, marred by Nabokov's lower body injury in the second period, forcing Montoya onto the ice for the third period. There is no word yet on Nabokov's status.

The Islanders forced Marc-Andre Fleury out of the game by scoring five goals through the first two periods on 18 shots on goal. Brad Thiessen came in for the third period and stopped the Islanders' next seven shots on net, but by then the damage had been done.

Frans Nielsen scored the Isles' first and last goals of the night, bringing his season total to 17. He also assisted on Michael Grabner's goal in the dwindling seconds of the first period. The Pens scored twice early in the second to tie the game at two goals apiece, but Kyle Okposo broke the tie on a goal from 34 feet away. David Ullstrom notched what proved to be the game-winner on a power play with 4:40 remaining in the second.
