The New York Islanders look to bounce back from a lopsided loss on Saturday night when they host the Carolina Hurricanes at Nassau Veterans Memorial Coliseum. (7 p.m., MSG Plus)
The Islanders have dropped two out of three, the most recent a one-sided 5-1 affair Saturday at the St. Louis Blues. New York opened the scoring 59 seconds into the first period against St. Louis, but surrendered five unanswered tallies the rest of the way.
Carolina has won two straight after back-to-back overtime defeats. The Hurricanes used 35 saves from Justin Peters to earn a 3-2 victory over the San Jose Sharks on Friday night.
