A preview of the Islanders game with the Anaheim Ducks. The Isles look to win their fourth consecutive game.
The 14-17-6 New York Islanders will look to win their fourth consecutive game as they travel to Anaheim tonight to face the Ducks. The Ducks are on a streak of their own, losing the past three, and they have the second lowest point total in the league with 26, and a record of 10-22-6.
Tonight's contest is the second game of a three game road trip and the first game of a back-to-back which will conclude tomorrow night in Phoenix.
The Islanders are coming off a thrilling victory against the lowly Hurricanes in their last contest. Down a goal with 90 seconds remaining the Isles tied the game thanks to a goal from Kyle Okposo. Neither team was able to score in overtime, forcing a sudden death shootout, in which the Isles won by a score of 2-1.
