Stay connected for news and updates

The New York Islanders search for their third straight victory Tuesday, as the travel to the Carolina Hurricanes in a Eastern Conference match up between two last-place teams.

The New York Islanders will try to stay out of the cellar of the Eastern Conference and extend their current winning streak to three games Tuesday, as they visit the Carolina Hurricanes in an Eastern Conference match up (7 p.m. ET on MSG+) at the RBC Center in Raleigh, NC. The Islanders (13-17-6, 32 points) and Hurricanes (13-21-6, 32 points) are each tied for last place in the 15-team conference.

New York also is looking to earn three constitutive victories for only the second time this season. The last time the Isles pulled off a feat like that was Oct. 10-15 when they knocked off the Minnesota Wild, Tampa Bay Lightning and New York Rangers, respectively.

Meanwhile, the Hurricanes have four of their last five games at home, including a string of three straight. The last time Carolina earned four consecutive victories at home was Jan. 24-March 11 of 2010.
