The Pittsburgh Penguins had a pretty good record coming into Monday night’s face-off against the New York Islanders at the CONSOL Energy Center in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.
Now, with the return of Sidney Crosby, it looks like it’s about to get even better.
The CONSOL Energy Center, as expected, went bananas.
Crosby’s goal lit a fire under the keisters of the already-red hot Penguins, who now lead the Islanders 4-0 heading into the third period.
And there is still 15 minutes of hockey to be played.
That’s bad news for the visitors, who need a miracle (or at least a huge third period) to make this thing competitive.
