With less than 12 hours to kickoff in Charlotte, the Giants are showing up as anywhere from 1- to 3-point dogs, but they perhaps should not be too comfortable in that role. The Panthers found themselves as 3-point underdogs last week to the New Orleans Saints and won that game 35-27 behind a strong performance from Cam Newton. The Giants, are the other hand, are 0-2 against the spread despite a seven-point win thanks to a historic passing performance by Eli Manning. The Giants began as 2.5-point favorites, but some books have seen a slide as the Giants' offense has lost Hakeem NIcks and Ahmad Bradshaw for the lineup.
That lack of offense has also hurt the over/under, which started out at 52 but now is between 49 and 50.5 points. That might be a safe bet, considering both teams cleared that margin last week and the teams have gone over in six of the last seven matchups between the two.
