The New York Giants are projected to select North Carolina outside linebacker Zach Brown in the 2012 NFL Draft, according to SB Nation's 2012 NFL Mock Draft.

Brown managed 105 tackles, 5.5 sacks and three interceptions as a senior at North Carolina, helping the Tar Heels to a 7-6 record and a spot in the AdvoCare V100 Independence Bowl. He is widely seen as one of the top outside linebacker prospects in the draft, and could help solidify the already-stout Giants defense.

It's hard to think of the Giants' run defense playing better than they did against Atlanta this weekend, but Brown would make that unit truly elite. The UNC product is the best 4-3 outside linebacker in the draft, a natural fit on the weakside where he can use his range and instincts to shut down plays.
