Stay connected for news and updates

A four-yard touchdown reception by wide receiver Hakeem Nicks from quarterback Eli Manning has helped the New York Giants earn a 7-2 lead over the Atlanta Falcons in an NFC Wild-Card round playoff game, which features just 2:55 to go in the first half. Nick's touchdown capped a solid 13-play, 85-yard drive that took just 7:32 and came after the Falcons (10-6) earned the first points of the game on a safety.

The drive was highlighted by this outstanding 34-yard run by Giants' running back Brandon Jacobs, who carried the ball six times on the drive. Jacobs also converted a 4th-and-inches situation on the Falcons' six-yard line.
