The New York Giants jumped out to a quick 14-90 lead in the first quarter of their showdown with the Philadelphia Eagles on Sunday.

The Giants hit two long pass plays. Eli Manning hit Brandon Jacobs off play action for a 40-yard score. Later, Manning hit Victor Cruz for a 74-yard score.

The Eagles were driving early in the game, but Michael Vick was intercepted in the red zone by Aaron Ross. The ball was intended for former Giants Steve Smith and caromed off Smith’s hands.

The Giants ran only 12 first-quarter plays to 21 for Philadelphia, but the Giants have the lead.
