The New York Giants are cutting fans planning to attend Monday night’s preseason game against the New York Jets a break. Parking for the 7 p.m. ET game at Metlife Stadium will be free.
From the Giants:
Due to the issues with mass transportation, as well as road closures, as a result of the aftermath of Hurricane Irene, the Giants have announced that parking will be free for tonight’s 7 p.m. game against the Jets.
Those ticketholders who have already purchased a pre-paid parking permit for the game will have the cost of the permit refunded or credited to the season ticket holder’s account.
Lots for tonight’s game open at 2 p.m. Those who have purchased permits will be parked in the areas for the permits they possess. Those without permits will be parked on a first-come, first-served basis in the general parking areas.
The game was originally scheduled for Saturday, but was moved due to Hurricane Irene.
