Safety Kenny Phillips will miss the New York Giants upcoming game with the Dallas Cowboys with a sprained MCL. The starter is expected to miss 1-2 weeks.

The injury report on New York Giants safety Kenny Phillips was released Monday, and it looks as if the Giants will be missing their starter for 1-2 weeks because of an sprained MCL. On Sunday, Phillips sprained his knee during New York's 38-35 loss to the Green Bay Packers and was seen Monday wearing a knee brace.

The loss of Phillips will be a tough one for the Giants who are in the middle of a four-game losing streak and play the pass-happy Dallas Cowboys this upcoming Sunday. According to the Giants' depth chart, rookie safety Tyler Sash should be Phillips' replacement.

In other Giants injury news, offensive tackle Stacy Andrews, who did not play Sunday because of a pulmonary embolisms in both lungs, will be out for the remainder of the season.

"It is a very, very serious medical condition," Giants head coach Tom Coughlin said Monday.
