Though New York Giants wide receiver Hakeem Nicks told reporters he was feeling better Wednesday, he did not participate in practice and is said to be day-to-day due to the hamstring strain he suffered this past Sunday against the Dolphins.
Fellow wide receiver Mario Manningham also missed practiced with an illness, as did tackle Stacy Andrews (back), center David Baas (knee), running back Ahmad Bradshaw (foot) and defensive end Osi Umenyiora (knee, shoulder). Coughlin seemed to indicate that the absence of Umenyiora was the result of preventative rest more than anything, but he did say that Bradshaw's foot was "swollen and sore."
In other news, fullback Henry Hynoski (neck) returned to practice on a limited basis after missing the Giants' past two games. Rookie cornerback Prince Amukamara made limited participation in practice as he begins to make his way back from a foot injury, as did Justin Tuck (groin, neck).
Linebacker Michael Boley (knee) participated fully in the practice session.
