Giants Vs. Patriots: New York Giants Wednesday Injury Report

Hakeem Nicks will not practice Wednesday after suffering a hamstring injury Sunday against the Miami Dolphins, but the New York Giants wide receiver is telling coach Tom Coughlin all the right things, the team announced Wednesday.

"It's going to be day-to-day," Coughlin said of Nicks. "He tells me he's better and says all the right things. But he's not going to work today."

Running back Ahmad Bradshaw will also miss practice, with what Coughlin termed a "swollen and sore" foot. Also sitting out will be center David Baas and defensive end Osi Umenyiora

"All I know is he had a sore shoulder, but he seems to think that it will be manageable," Coughlin said of Umenyiora. "He's not working today, but that's normal. He normally has Wednesday (off). Last week, he did work on Wednesday - and Thursday as well, and Friday."

Wide receiver Ramses Barden, on the reserve/PUP list, will receive more reps this week.

"He's going to get pushed a little harder this week," Coughlin said. "He practiced probably 50 percent of the time last week and we'll see if he can continue, along with (cornerback) Prince (Amukamara). Prince will get a little bit more this week, too."

Linebacker Michael Boley (knee), offensive lineman Stacy Andrews (back) and fullback Henry Hynoski (neck) were also named in the preliminary injury report.
