Fantasy Football projections for the Giants for Week 6

Here is this week's Fantasy Football Start/Sit advice for Week 6 of the NFL season as it relates to players from the New York Giants. As always, we will be relying on projections from numberFire to help our analysis.

START

Eli Manning (QB)
numberFire Projection: 18.44 completions, 231.39 yards, 1.76 TDs, 0.68 INTs, 16.24 Fantasy Points

Analysis: The Giants can't run the ball and they are relying on Manning's arm. He has three quality wide receivers to throw to, and he is putting up good numbers.

Hakeem Nicks (WR)
numberFire Projection: 5.10 receptions, 73.35 yards, 0.58 TDs, 11.05 Fantasy Points

Analysis: Nicks is one of the league's best receivers. You have him, you play him. You don't think twice about it.

Victor Cruz (WR)
numberFire Projection: 3.72 receptions, 55.91 yards, 0.47 TDs, 8.43 Fantasy Points

Analysis: Cruz is becoming one of Manning's most trusted targets. He is inconsistent, but Manning keeps sending the ball his way and it has resulted in some huge plays.

Mario Manningham (WR)
numberFire Projection: 2.80 receptions, 44.60 yards, 0.30 TDs, 6.24 Fantasy Points

Analysis: Manningham caught five passes last week. All of the talk is about Cruz and Nicks, but Manningham still starts and he is still a dangerous receiver who will make his share of big plays.

Lawrence Tynes (PK)
numberFire Projection: 1.36 field goals, 2.71 extra points, 7.32 Fantasy Points

Analysis: Tynes is a middle of the pack kicker. His trouble this season has been lack of opportunity. The Giants score touchdowns or nothing it seems. He has had very limited field-goal opportunities.

SIT

Ahmad Bradshaw (RB)
numberFire Projection: 19.34 carries, 87.42 yards, 0.58 TDs, 3.04 receptions, 24.31 yards, 0.08 TDs, 15.17 Fantasy Points

Analysis: numberFire is being very generous here. The Giants are 28th in the league in rushing at 83.8 yards per game and 31st in yards per carry (3.17). This is not Bradshaw's fault, but he's tough to play until the Giants prove they can open some holes for him.

Brandon Jacobs (RB)
numberFire Projection: 5.12 carries, 23.15 yards, 0.12 TDs, 0.54 receptions, 4.36 yards, 0.01 TDs, 3.51 Fantasy Points.

Analysis: If I'm telling you not to play Bradshaw, what do you think I am going to say about a guy who missed last week's game with a swollen knee? He doesn't get much work, anyway.

Travis Beckum (TE)
numberFire Projection: 1.88 receptions, 19.52 yards, 0.24 TDs, 3.39 Fantasy Points

Analysis: I fail to comprehend why numberFire continues to project Beckum, who has one catch for two yards all season, and does not project Jake Ballard. Ballard has 10 catches and is the guy who plays every down. Beckum probably shouldn't even be taking up space on your roster.
