Giants Lose Hakeem Nicks For Three Weeks

Stay connected for news and updates

The injuries just keep piling up for the New York Giants. Wide receiver Hakeem Nicks will reportedly miss three weeks with Compartment Syndrome in his right leg.

Nicks leads the Giants with 62 catches, nine for touchdowns. The Giants are already without Pro Bowl wide receiver Steve Smith and Pro Bowl linemen David Diehl and Shaun O’Hara on offense.

The Giants also have wide receivers Ramses Barden, Domenik Hixon and Victor Cruz on injured reserve. The starters will now be Mario Manningham and Derek Hagan. Hagan was just re-signed a week ago.

The Giants are also missing one of their top defensive players, Mathias Kiwanuka, who is out for the season with a neck injury.

The 6-4 Giants are now in second place in the NFC East following Sunday’s 27-17 loss to Philadelphia, their second straight loss. They would not make the playoffs in the NFC if the season ended today.

The Giants host the 6-4 Jacksonville Jaguars on Sunday.
