More good news on Detroit Lions’ linebacker Zack Follett, who was carted off the field on a back board Sunday after colliding helmet-to-helmet with Jason Pierre-Paul of the New York Giants.
Follett’s prognosis was more promising after the Lions medical staff announced there was no evidence of a fracture of the cervical spine and that Follett had movement in all four extremities.
Follett is hospitalized at Hackensack University Medical Center, where he was scheduled to remain overnight while undergoing extensive tests and evaluations.
"There are still a lot of other things that we need to test and we need to see with him, so let’s keep him in our prayers," Lions coach Jim Schwartz told reporters after the game.

Detroit Lions' linebacker Zack Follett is conscious and has movement in his limbs after a scary incident Sunday against the New York Giants.
Follett made helmet-to-helmet contact with Jason Pierre-Paul of the Giants while covering a kickoff in the fourth quarter. He laid on the field for several minutes before being strapped to a back board and carted off.
"We’ve heard from the hospital," said [Lions coach Jim] Schwartz, who did not say to which hospital Follett was taken.
"Zack Follett is getting some tests right now. We don’t have any results but he does have feeling in his extremities. He was getting some of that before he left the field. There are still a lot of things that we need to test. Let’s keep him in our prayers. I’m not sure if he’s going to travel back with the team."
