Giants vs. Eagles, Week 4: Key matchups

The New York Giants travel to Lincoln Financial Field to face the Philadelphia Eagles in a key NFC East game Sunday night. Here are three quick keys to the game.

1. The battle in the trenches -- This holds true on both sides. The Eagles boast outstanding defensive ends Jason Babin and Trent Cole. The Giants' offensive line played one of its best games in a long time a week ago, but tackles will Beatty and Sean Locklear face a tough challenge Sunday.

The Eagles are missing three players who were expected to be offensive line starters for them. That is not a good recipe against Jason Pierre-Paul, Justin Tuck and Osi Umenyiora.

2. Giants' secondary vs. Eagles' receivers -- The Giants are banged up in the secondary. Jayron Hosley and Michael Coe have hamstring injuries. Corey Webster is playing with a broken hand. Prince Amukamara returned last week from a high ankle sprain. Antrel Rolle has a knee injury. Containing the high-powered Eagles' passing attack with receivers Jeremy Maclin and DeSean Jackson, and quarterback Michael Vick, is a priority.

3. Turnovers -- Vick has 6 interceptions and 5 fumbles already this season. The Eagles have 12 turnovers in all and are -6 in takeaway/giveaway ratio. The Giants are +4 in that department. Eagles-Giants game are usually close ones, so the turnover stat could be the decisive one.
