NFL picks, Week 4: Giants vs. Eagles

The Giants and Eagles will be showcased on Sunday night, and it looks like NFL pundits around the internet are in favor of New York.

The New York Giants head to Philadelphia on Sunday night at 8:20 p.m. ET to face the Eagles, and they look to be favorites in the important NFC East battle. The Giants and Eagles are tied for the division lead with the Cowboys at 2-1.

SB Nation's resident NFL guru, Joel Thorman, has the Giants taking a road victory:

A nice Sunday night treat in a battle for first place in the NFC East. The Eagles' defense was playing well until allowing 27 points to the Cardinals last weekend. Michael Vick and the Eagles' offense haven't been consistent enough to make me think they can outscore the Giants. New York remains in first place

The pick: 27-23, Giants

Thorman is not alone in his belief that the Giants will win, as nine of ESPN's 14 experts are going with New York. CBS Sports goes with against-the-spread picks, and six of its eight guys think Philadelphia will fail to cover the 2½-point spread (which has since moved down to one).

Yahoo's three pundits lean towards the Eagles, with just one picking the Giants.

The game should be a close battle as the teams fight for early-season positioning. It appears to once again be a three-team race for the division title, and every NFC East game is important.
