The latest SB Nation NFL Power Rankings dropped the Giants out of the top 5 after Sunday's 24-20 loss to the Steelers.

SB Nation has released its latest NFL Power Rankings, and the New York Giants dropped out of the top 5 after Sunday's 24-20 loss to the Pittsburgh Steelers. The Giants (6-2) are ranked sixth by NFL Editor Joel Thorman, who last week had New York No. 3 overall.

The Giants, who had a four-game winning streak snapped, were ranked behind the Atlanta Falcons (No. 1), Houston Texans (No. 2), Chicago Bears (No. 3), San Francisco 49ers (No. 4) and Steelers (No. 5).

Here's what Thorman had to say about New York:

6. New York Giants (LW: 3, 6-3): Remember when the NFC East was really competitive?

(Thorman's complete rankings can be read here.)

Compared to other national power rankings, SB Nation was similar to ESPN.com's which has the Giants No. 5 overall – a three-spot drop from last week's rankings.

Meanwhile, FOX Sports Brian Billick and CBS Sports' Pete Prisco both drop New York down to No. 9. Last week, both rankings had the Giants fourth.
