Jim O'Connor-US PRESSWIRE

One New York team still has a decent shot at taking home the SuperBowl trophy, the other needs a miracle.

The New York Giants have been pegged at 9-1 odds to win the SuperBowl with five games to play in the regular season. The team that shares MetLife Stadium with the Giants is a much longer shot. Head coach Rex Ryan's Jets are 500-1 to end the season as champions.

The Giants are in firm control of the NFC East, holding a two-game advantage on the Redskins and Cowboys. They made a nice jump this week as they were previously at 14-1.

The Jets, on the other hand, are clinging to playoff hopes. The odds of them even making the playoffs are low, let alone winning four-straight games away from home to win the title.

Houston and New England are the favorites to win the SuperBowl at 9-2. The 49ers are close behind at 5-1. with the Broncos the next most likely at 11/2. Green Bay fell back from 15-2 to 10-1 after falling to the Giants on Sunday.
