Giants vs. Cowboys 2012: Game preview, kickoff time, TV schedule and more

Tom Pennington

NFC East rivals meet for the second time in eight weeks, as the New York Giants head to Texas to take on the Dallas Cowboys.

The New York Giants look to avenge their Week 1 loss to the Dallas Cowboys on Sunday, when they head to Texas in Week 8 for an NFC East clash.

Dallas has been inconsistent all season, as suggested by their 3-3 record. The Cowboys are, however, coming off of a gritty 19-14 win over the Carolina Panthers in Week 7. Still, the Cowboys have yet to string together back-to-back wins, and a loss on Sunday would drop "America's Team" back under .500.

The Cowboys do hold two edges over the Giants currently though. Dallas is 1-0 in the NFC East – that win coming over the G-men – while the Giants are just 1-2.

New York, meanwhile, can grab a stranglehold on the NFC East with a win. If the Giants win, New York will improve to 6-2 on the season, and 2-2 in the division. At the least, the Giants would hold a game-and-a-half lead over the Philadelphia Eagles, who enter Week 8 with a 3-3 record.

Dallas will be without star running back DeMarco Murray, who will miss his second straight game with a foot injury. The Cowboys will also be without Sean Lee, who will miss the remainder of the season with a toe injury.

Game Time/Date: Sunday, Oct. 28; 4:25 p.m. ET

Location: Cowboys Stadium, Arlington, Texas

TV Schedule: National: FOX

Television Distribution: the506.com

New York radio: WFAN 660
