Giants vs. Browns score update: Giants lead 34-20 heading into 4th quarter

Victor Cruz scored his third touchdown of the game and the New York Giants extended their lead against the Cleveland Browns. New York leads 34-20 after three quarters.

After leading 27-17 at halftime, the Giants extended their lead when Eli Manning found Cruz for a 28-yard touchdown. The touchdown catch was Cruz' third of the game and he now has four catches for 46 yards through three quarters.

Josh Cribbs nearly matched the Giants touchdown on the following kickoff 74 yards to the Giants 30-yardline. The Browns, however, were unable to capitalize as they gained just seven yards setting up Phil Dawson for a 41-yard field goal.

Giants vs. Browns score update: Giants lead 27-17 at halftime

After trailing 14-7 at the end of the first quarter, the Giants came back with 20 points in the second quarter to take a 27-17 halftime lead.

Cleveland struck first with a field goal in the second quarter, taking a 10-point lead, but New York came back with a field goal of their own to cut the lead to 17-10. Cleveland was driving for another potential score, but Giants safety Stevie Brown intercepted Brandon Weeden and returned it into Cleveland territory.

Eli Manning hit Rueben Randle for 36 yards, setting up Ahmad Bradshaw for a 4-yard touchdown run to tie the game. New York got the ball right back when Josh Cribbs fumbled the kickoff and the Giants recovered at the Browns 29-yard line.

New York didn't waste any time, scoring five plays later. Manning found Victor Cruz in the end zone for the second time in the game to give the Giants the 24-17 lead. Cleveland was forced to punt, and New York took over with just 17 second to play, but a 12-yard Bradshaw run and a pass interference penalty set up Lawrence Tynes for a 40-yard field goal.

Cruz has just three catches for 18 yards in the first half, but has scored two touchdowns. Manning has thrown for 179 yards in the first half while Bradshaw has rushed for 80 yards and a touchdown on 15 carries.

Giants vs. Browns score update: Giants trail 14-7 after 1st quarter

The New York Giants trail the Cleveland Browns, 14-7, after the first quarter of Sunday's game.

The game got off to a rough start for the Giants as Ahmad Bradshaw fumbled on the Giants' first offensive play, and Cleveland recovered at the Giants 22-yard line. Cleveland running back Trent Richardson needed just two carries to get into the end zone and give Cleveland an early 7-0 lead.

The Browns extended their lead to 14-0 on their next possession when Brandon Weeden hit Josh Gordon deep for a 62-yard touchdown. After fumbling and punting on their first two possessions, the Giants finally got some offense going on their third possession. New York went 92 yards on 11 plays, culminating in a 3-yard touchdown pass from Eli Manning to Victor Cruz.

With Hakeem Nicks out with an injury, the Giants are in need of a receiver to step up and complement Cruz. Early on, Rueben Randle has been able to fill that role. Randle caught four passes for 42 yards in the first quarter. All four of his catches came during the Giants' touchdown drive.

The Browns will have the ball when the second quarter begins, as they are driving in Giants' territory.

The New York Giants will be without safety Kenny Phillips, wide receivers Hakeem Nicks and Ramses Barden, defensive tackle Rocky Bernard, cornerback Jayron Hosley, tackle David Diehl and linebacker Keith Rivers for Sunday's contest with the Cleveland Browns.

Giants' injury report, Wednesday: Ramses Barden has concussion

Ramses Barden will not practice Wednesday for the New York Giants. Head coach Tom Coughlin said Wednesday that Barden suffered a concussion during the final drive in Sunday's loss to the Philadelphia Eagles.

"He complained of a headache and asked if he could be evaluated," Coughlin said. "They sent him for the evaluation yesterday. I think a lot of the symptoms were okay, but there was enough there to slow him down. He is on the (concussion) protocol."

Barden is part of a list of 13 players on the Giants' pre-practice injury report as they begin preparation for Sunday's game at MetLife Stadium against the 0-4 Cleveland Browns. Here is the complete list.

Barden (concussion), Chris Snee (hip), David Baas (hand), wide receiver Hakeem Nicks (foot/knee), safety Kenny Phillips (knee), defensive tackle Rocky Bernard (quadriceps) and linebackers Michael Boley (hip) and Keith Rivers (hamstring) will not practice.

Tackle David Diehl (knee) and cornerback Jayron Hosley (hamstring) will do individuals drills "and a little more," Coughlin said.

Safety Antrel Rolle (knee) and cornerbacks Corey Webster (hand) and Michael Coe (hamstring) are also on the list.
