The Brooklyn Nets will get a first look at their schedule in their new home on Thursday night.
Basketball begins in Brooklyn this year, with the Nets relocating across the river from New Jersey to a brand new home in the outer borough. On Thursday night, the Nets and their fans can start planning out their agendas for the season when the NBA releases the 2012-2013 schedule.
One detail of the Nets' schedule has already leaked out. They will open the season and their new arena with an inter-borough battle with the New York Knicks. Will it be the start of a budding rivalry?
The Nets loaded up in free agency this year. They acquired Joe Johnson from Atlanta, and took care of business at home by re-signing Deron Williams, Gerald Wallace and Brook Lopez.
The NBA will release the 2012-2013 schedule in a prime time special on NBA TV at 7:00 p.m. ET.
