NBA Free Agency 2012: Andrei Kirilenko No Longer Considering Nets

Stay connected for news and updates

Free agent forward Andrei Kirilenko is no longer considering the Brooklyn Nets, sources tell Adrian Wojnarowski of Yahoo! Sports. The Nets would have only been able to offer Kirilenko the veteran minimum to return to the NBA. The Minnesota Timberwolves are now among teams pursuing the 31-year-old Russian.

Deron Williams is a former teammate of Kirilenko with the Utah Jazz, and had reportedly been recruiting the forward for the Nets. Kirilenko's contract with CSKA Moscow gives him the option to bolt to the NBA every summer should he decide he wants to return. He is looking to make a decision before the start of the 2012 London Olympics.
