The Brooklyn Nets have acquired guard Joe Johnson from the Atlanta Hawks in a trade on Monday, according to a report (via Nets Daily). The trade will not reportedly be finalized until July 11. The Nets did not have to give up MarShon Brooks or Gerald Green.

Johnson was sent to the Nets in exchange for:

Anthony Morrow; Jordan Farmar, who will be bought out at Atlanta's expense; Jordan Williams, Johan Petro, a signed-and-traded DeShawn Stevenson and the Rockets 2013 lottery protected first round pick.

For his career, Johnson averages 17.8 points, 4.4 assists and 4.2 rebounds per game. Last season with the Hawks, Johnson averaged 18.8 points, 3.9 assists and 3.7 rebounds per game.

After the trade the Nets can now use the full $5 million mid-level exception and the bi-annual $1.95 million exception. The Nets also retain their first round pick.
