The New York Knicks lost their third game in a row on Wednesday night as they were defeated by the San Antonio Spurs on the road in AT&T center. The Knicks are now 18-21, which puts them in eighth place in the Eastern Conference and third place in the Atlantic Division. The Spurs, who bounced back from a loss to the Denver Nuggets, are now 26-12, which puts them in second place in the Western Conference.
The Knicks were led by Carmelo Anthony's 27-point performance while Jeremy Lin added 20 and Amare Stoudemire scored 18. J.R. Smith also came off the bench to add 18 points as well. It wasn't good enough to stop Tony Parker and the Spurs, though. Parker put up 32 points while Tim Duncan added 17 and Manu Ginobili added 17 off the bench as well. Even though the Spurs turned the ball over 17 times to the Knicks' 10 times, Parker, Duncan and a great performance from the bench held the Knicks off.
