The New Jersey Nets (12-27) host the Los Angeles Clippers (22-14) on Wednesday night at the Prudential Center at 8 p.m.
The Nets enter the game having lost their last seven home contests. New Jersey is only 3-13 overall at the Prudential Center this season. The Clippers are 2-2 on their current road trip and are coming off a loss to Minnesota on Monday night. The Clippers have also lost five of their last eight games overall. L.A. took the first meeting between the teams, 101-91, when New Jersey traveled out west on Jan. 16.
The Nets will have a tough time dealing with Clippers forward Blake Griffin as Brook Lopez (ankle) and Mehmet Okur (back) are both out tonight. Lopez recently joined Okur on the injury list with an ankle sprain. New Jersey could need an outstanding individual performance in order to get a victory tonight. The Nets are the only NBA team to have three different players put up 38+ points in any game this season (Anthony Morrow, Deron Williams and Brook Lopez).
