After losing the first two games of their four game road trip, the New York Knicks will try to salvage some semblance of respectability against the San Antonio Spurs Wednesday night.
New York is coming off of a defeat against the defending champion Mavericks. Dirk Nowitzki started off slow, only shooting 1-of-8 from the field in the first half. However, the second half was a different story as he poured in 24 points to lead Dallas to a 95-85 victory.
New York also saw its troubles continue at the foul line. The Knicks shot 15-of-23 from the stripe. Even more concerning, they turned the ball over 16 times, adding to their league-high total.
The Spurs won't be easy to beat with that type of performance. Even though San Antonio has been alternating wins and losses of late, they're a top team. The bad news with that streak is tonight should be a victory by that metric.
The Spurs are also a very tough team to beat at home with a 14-3 record.
