The New Jersey Nets put an end to their five game losing streak Wednesday night with a 95-87 win over the Cavaliers in Cleveland.
Devin Harris poured in a season-high 31 points and dished out nine assists to help the Nets prevent a two-game sweep by Byron Scott's Cavs. Harris got help inside and out from Anthony Morrow (21 points, 5 of 8 from 3-point-range) and Kris Humphries (game-high 18 rebounds).
For the second time in as many days, the Cavaliers were lead by J.J. Hickson, who put up 15 points. Cleveland's bench was solid again, outscoring the Nets reserves 44-21 but it wasn't enough to stretch their winning streak to four.
New Jersey found themselves in a 11-point hole in the second half, but they were able to come all the way back by thanks to some clutch shooting and solid defense. The Nets held Cleveland to just 35 points in the second half while Jordan Farmar kicked off an 8-0 run with a three that followed a monster dunk by Hickson.
Injuries forced the Nets to play without starting forward Troy Murphy (foot) and super sub Terrence Williams (abdominal strain). Meanwhile, center Brook Lopez continued to look lost and spent most of the game on the bench, logging only 19 minutes.
New Jersey returns to action Saturday night when the Orlando Magic visit the Prudential Center in Newark.

The New Jersey Nets (2-5) will attempt to stop their five-game losing streak and a void a home-and-home sweep when they take on the Cleveland Cavaliers (4-3) at Quicken Loans Arena.
Byron Scott's Cavs are riding high on a three game winning streak -- all on the road -- and return home looking to build on their lead atop the Central division. Tuesday night in Newark Cleveland beat the Nets 93-91 lead by J.J. Hickson's 18 points to go along with five other players scoring in double figures.
Forward Travis Outlaw was New Jersey's leading scorer in the first game of this series with a season-high 27. The Nets will be hoping for a better effort from Brook Lopez as well as the second unit. After being outscored by the Cavaliers bench 52-15, Avery Johnson will look to see which of his reserves are ready to step up.
Cleveland swept the season series from New Jersey last year and after Tuesday night's victory have won nine straight over the Nets.
