The list of possible destinations for free agent left wing Zach Parise might already be trimmed to just one or two teams, Rich Chere of the Newark Star-Ledger reported on Monday.
Chere reports that the Chicago Blackhawks are "strong contenders" to sign Parise, who had 31 goals and 38 assists for 69 points this past season while helping the New Jersey Devils reach the Stanley Cup Finals.
Parise, 27 years old, has stated a desire to return to New Jersey, but is considering other teams in the case that he and the Devils can't come to a suitable agreement.
The Devils are expected to hear the 5-foot-11, 194-pounder's decision very soon.
Just got off the phone with a SOLID Source that Zach Parise will make his Desicion today!Stay Tuned!!!
