Claude Giroux Suspended For Game 5 Of Devils Vs. Flyers, 2012 NHL Playoffs

Stay connected for news and updates

The New Jersey Devils have a chance to close out the Philadelphia Flyers Tuesday night in Game 5 of their 2012 NHL Playoffs first-round series. And the Flyers will be short-handed.

Leading scorer Claude Giroux has been suspended for Game 5 for his second period hit on Dainius Zubrus in Sunday night's Game 4, the Flyers announced Monday afternoon. Giroux struck Zubrus in the head with a shoulder late in the second frame.

The Flyers should really miss Giroux. Their leading scoring during the regular season, he already has eight goals and nine assists during the postseason.
