Game 4 of the 2012 NHL Playoffs series between the New Jersey Devils and the Philadelphia Flyers is so far off to a very fast start. The Flyers took a 2-0 lead, scoring first on a powerplay and again shorthanded. The Devils came back two goals late in the first period to the game at 2-2 heading into the second period. Marek Zidlicky scored the equalizer on a nice deflection off an unwieldy pass by Bryce Salvador.
Despite the even score, the Devils have largely outplayed the Flyers. They lead on shots on goal, 14-8, so far. Zidlicky already has a goal and an assist. Scott Hartnell scored for the Flyers on their man advantage, and Claude Giroux followed him up with his eighth goal of the postseason. Petr Sykora put New Jersey on the board.
