New Jersey Devils center Jacob Josefson broke his wrist during Tuesday night's 3-1 win over the New York Islanders. The injury will put him on the bench for 4-to-6 weeks, meaning that, best-case scenario, he could return by the end of the second round of the 2012 NHL Playoffs provided New Jersey makes it that far.

It is difficult to tell exactly when Josefson hurt his wrist. He played six shifts in the first period and two in the second. He did not play in the third period, which is when the period was announced. Josefson has already missed 37 games this season after breaking his collarbone on Oct. 31.

Josefson played in 40 games during the regular season, scoring two goals and picking up nine assists with six penalty minutes. He averaged just over 12 minutes per game on the ice.
