Martin Brodeur turned back four of five shooters to give the New Jersey Devils a 2-1 win over the Chicago Blackhawks in an overtime shootout on Tuesday night. Travis Zajac and Patrik Elias scored in the extra period to help New Jersey snap a two-game losing streak.

Brodeur recorded 37 saves combined in regulation and overtime, only getting beat once on a 58-foot Brent Seabrook slapshot midway through the third period. Corey Crawford didn't quite face the same onslaught as Brodeur, but still played well in net while turning back 21 of 22 shots against. The Devils led for nearly 33 minutes after Petr Sykora scored on a power play with just over four minutes to play in the first period.

The Devils will host the Tampa Bay Lightning on Thursday before closing out the week on the road against the Carolina Hurricanes on Saturday.
