Patrik Elias Returns To Devils Practice, David Clarkson Is Out With The Flu

The New Jersey Devils got leading scorer Patrik Elias back at practice today (via New York Post).

Elias has been battling a flu bug and missed three days of practice. He also missed the Devils' 4-1 loss against the New York Rangers on Dec. 20 because he wasn't recovered enough to play. Elias is expected to play against the Washington Capitals on Friday. Elias leads the Devils in both goals (13) and points (29) this season. He is the team leader in all-time goals with 348, a mark which he set with two goals in a win over Montreal on Dec. 17

While Elias was back today, forward David Clarkson is now out with the flu. Clarkson currently has a streak of 134 consecutive games played, which leads the team.  The right winger is tied for second on the team with Zach Parise with 11 goals on the year.
