BREAKING NEWS: Patrik Elias Named To All-Star Team

Patrik Elias was announced as the New Jersey Devils' lone All-Star representative today by the NHL.

Elias was one of 36 players picked by the league to participate in the all-star game. Six players - Sidney Crosby, Evgeni Malkin, Jonathan Toews, Kris Letang, Duncan Keith and Marc-Andre Fleury - were already voted in by the fans.

This will be Elias' third all-star game. The left-winger leads the Devils with 30 points (nine goals, 21 assists) in 41 games.

After tallying a mere four points (one goal, three assists) in his first 10 games, Elias has eight goals and 18 assists in his last 31 games. He's recorded 16 points (six goals, 10 assists) in his last 18 games.
