Chicago, IL (Sports Network) – Jamie Langenbrunner registered a goal and two assists, and the New Jersey Devils overcame an injury to goaltender Martin Brodeur to beat the Chicago Blackhawks, 5-3, at United Center.
Travis Zajac had a goal and one assist for the Devils, who finished 2-4-0 on their six-game road trip.
Brodeur stopped all eight shots he faced before leaving in the second period with a bruised right elbow. Johan Hedberg made 21 saves in relief.
Viktor Stalberg finished with a goal and two helpers for Chicago, which has dropped five of its last seven games. Marty Turco stopped 19 shots in defeat.
